MUTX Modbus Multifunction Modem
The MUTX Modbus RTU 4G Modem is a low cost solution for remotely monitoring and editing process parameters via RS232 or RS485. You can Stop/Start, Visualize parameters remotely, read/write to parameters via SMS or remotely modify, visualize, record, trend with the Cervello cloud platform via web browser. The modem can also perform local Modbus RTU serial recording and send alarm SMS on close contact.
Modem Applications
We monitor variables in the remote PLC and visualize the data on any web browser via the cervello cloud platform. Cervello allows the user to read and modify specific parameters, send SMS and email when critical thresholds are reached, record and trend data making available for download into various formats. Multiple users can be added with various levels of access.
In this application the kiln can be started, remotely monitored, stopped by sending simple SMS commands. The Modem can also send SMS when critical temperatures are reached.
Multiple sensors with unique addresses can be connected to one network as in this tank contents measurement application. When contents reach high or low thresholds SMS or Emails can be sent.
In addition the MUTX can accept 2 digital inputs, 1 0-10VDC analogue input & provide 2 transitor outputs. With addition of MUTX-T-IO card on which the MUTX modem can be mounted the I/O is wired out from a D15 female socket to screw terminals and the transistor outputs connected to 1A rated max 24V SPST relay outputs
